Total tourism GDP in Sweden 2019-2021
The impact of travel and tourism on Sweden's economy amounted to nearly 283 billion Swedish kronor in 2021, over 40 billion SEK more than in the previous year. Sweden was one of the few countries that did not impose mobility restrictions on its population during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, due to the international travel prohibition in most countries, the Swedish tourism sector was still heavily impacted by the crisis.
